I knew there could be a problem with the igniter because it would kick out after trying to ignite. I also knew water was not draining because water would back up into the fan and cause the furnace not to light. I had 4 different service companies come and look at it and all three tried to sell me a new furnace. A friend told me to call C L Linfoot and ask for Paul, Kyle or Gator. Paul came and looked at the igniter and said he could clean it but since it’s only about $40, he recommended getting a new one. It was one they didn’t carry and ordered it for me. He made some timing changes as to how the furnace kicked in and we waited for the part. A couple of weeks later, the part came in and Gator came over. He replaced the igniter and then checked out the condensation drain. He found a kink in an elbow restricting water flow and also some sediment in a collection box. After fixing the tubing elbow the water drained and everything worked great. My furnace is fixed, not replaced. I spent a couple of hundred dollars not several thousand dollars. These guys and this company is good. They know their stuff and they are above all honest and want to assist you in the best possible way. If they had a ten star category, they would get a ten from me. Thank you guys. BTW, the lady that called to set up the appointments was accommodating and very professional. Service representative, Nick, was friendly and answered all my questions. Received the $95.00 price deal through a mailing. Did not receive an answer on whether Linfoot had an annual inspection plan for both the furnace and AC, as both were recently purchased from Linfoot. On my old furnace and AC, Bear offered a $12.95 per month plan to inspect both on an annual basis. The part I needed for my furnace was on back order, as is everything in this world, it seems like lately. They were able to bypass the mechanism to get it to function and said they would call me when they got the part in. They called not even sure how many days later becuz I had 4got'n that there was even a problem and we scheduled an appt and got it done rite away.
